As tittle, what does a mk2 with an abf fitted weigh.
Has any one weighed theres? Is it much the same as a normal 16v mk2. Collie

wouldve thought itd be within a few kg's of a normal mk2 16c- the block is little bit taller but the bores are bigger, and if its on digi then theres no metering head and only one fuel pump on the abf.

My mk2 weighed 1040 kg when it was a 16v, pre-cage , was only weighed on a weighbridge in a haulage yard, so not as accurate as corner scales.
Was dropping off grass-cuttings at the tip on Monday in the mk2 and drove on the weighbridge, 1100 kg with me in it (I weigh 92 kgs...) I took these readings with pinch-of-salt, as now have Boat Anchor and cage...

Thanks all, was just thinking what the power to weight ratio would be, abf=150 bhp when new, mk2 weight approx 1040 as posted. So roughly its 150 per ton then. Thats super.
are they regarded as a good tool?

yeah def buy one ready made, and red is the fastest colour as well.
bear in mind also, that with a few mods you can see 170 fairly easily |

Wahey i'm famous!
Just for reference that cabriolet in the first race is a 200bhp 20vt And when i went back a couple of weeks later with a non-shagged clutch and gearbox i knocked half a second off my time with a 0-60 of approx 6.2 seconds so it must be fairly light to make use of the power that well (mine is a late '91 with side impact bars etc. as well)

It'll be our daily after tomorrow, as the Ibiza should hopefully be sold to the dealership.
I love driving the Mk2, but i doubt Gemma will like being a passenger permanently as she isnt insured on the Mk2.
