I am performing a 1.8t conversion on my mk2 golf syncro. I am using a corrado rear aluminium engine mount bracket pn:357 199 354
My question is will i need to change my front engine mount bracket also?

If so does anyone have the make and model/pn that i need?

These are the vibratechnic mounts that I have bought:
Engine Mount Rear (vag 875 - road)

Gearbox mount (vag 970m - road)

Was and is your Corrado going to be using a 02A cable change gearbox?

Its a mk2 golf syncro(ive edited above post now, thanks), i am using a rallye gearbox (o2c box from a passat syncro).

p.s. your car is going to be amazing when finished! Love it!

Ahh, OK. Use all the engine/gearbox brackets from the Passat. They should allow you to drop it straight in to the Mk2 using the VibraTechnic mounts. That's what I did with my Mk2 when I S3'd it, albeit with parts from a FWD Passat.

    Good luck!

Edit: It was finished and I loved it. Then a lorry hit it while it was parked. Need it back soon, cos my Mk3 8v GTi is doing my nut in. LOL!

It's the early one. Prefer it personally, TBH.

    Cheers
