could this be an faq? i dunno?

this only works if you have a certain problem.
the problem being that your temp light flashes all the time, and when you turn on your lights everything dies, including rev counter. [xx(]

its worth trying to run a new earth to the clocks.
it fixed every problem with mine straight away.

its a case of connecting a piece of wire to the earth on the connector(back of clocks),then fixing the other end of the wire with a self tapper to the bulk head.
see pics. [:)]
new wire pushed into plug for clocks.(black second from right)

run to a self tapper.
this area can be seen by just removing the clocks,no need to lose the dash [LOL]

full pic so you can see where things are.

sounds good, where does that original earth wire go normally? to the crown connector? if you think that its the wire thats faulty it would prob be best to solder or join the new earth to the origanl brown one at the white connector unless you suspect the crimp in the connector to be faulty.

not sure where the original earth goes m8.
i reckon on mine its split in the loom somewhere?

as all ive done is bypass it to the bulk head.

Good stuff, a useful bit of info! I don't think I need to do that to mine but it's now lodged in my memory bank!

Thanks mate, really need this info...is it a problem to get the dash pod out?

A freind is borrowing the car next week, I will get him to do it for me.

My car is going for its 2.0 16v conversion monday the 8th, have you moved your rad? I see you run ITG socks, would you not like a Pipercross duel filter, you oftem get better responce and torque from these rather than sockshttp://www.pipercross.net/images/px600_dimensions.jpg

We are also developing a carbon airbox for this system.

its all pretty self explanatory m8,self tappers/phillips screws hold every thing together.

once youve got the dash fascia out the way, theres 2 screws hold the clocks, but you need to reach round and unclip the speedo cable/vac pipe/leccy plugs.

the rad i use is from a corsa [:$] sits under the slam panel, never thought about the filter, its all change at the minute anyhow. [:D]

If I remember correctly, the brown wire runs to the side of the head and connects to either one of the bolts for the coolant flange or the top of the rocker cover.
