mk1 seat swap

    just bought mk1 gti.front seats knackered.could anyone tell me whether golf mk2 or corrado seats will fit without any modification.any help would be appreciated. many thanks.

    golf2 or corrado seats should fit without the need for any mods at all .

    Scirocco GT2 are good. Loads of support and height adjustable. Bit of a problem with the position lever though, it's on the wrong side. Same for the MK2 and Corrado seats. If only you is going to be driving, then it's OK just move the locking pin by hand. It's only slightly fiddly.

    Yep as said the forward/back lever is on the wrong side on Golf MK2/Corrado/Scirocco seats.
    However If you find a set of MK3 Polo or early MK2 (pre 90) seats you can swap the back & seat base cusion/fabric onto your old MK1 base frames :)
