Mk1 Cab/Scirrocco Driveshafts 100mm CV's

For my mk1 cable change gearbox conversion, im off to the breakers tomorrow to pick some up but may have a problem in distinguishing them, does anyone know the length of them?

 

don't know the lengths but they'll probably have 100mm cvs attached to them

 

should be the same length its the diameter of the CV you want to pay attention to

 

so if he has a rack full of drivehshafts up at the breakers mk2 golfs, mk3 etc etc! any with 100mm cv's will do? Surly the cab/scirroco ones are a differnt length?!!

 

The solid left-hand is 445.5mm and the tubular right-hand is 658mm

you'll be needing the later mk1 cabby versions or the rocco ones

 

you can mod the earlier shaft to take the larger joint by getting a couple of mill turned of the collar on the shaft were the joint sits,this allows you to fit the circlip

 

interesting to know,

might save a few bob and time hunting around
