    how i spent the weekend.

friday night drove down to yeovil to collect a little package - took it to Basingstoke that night, had a kip

saturday got up early, was at GSF Heathrow at two minutes to opening time - and bought a few parts, back to basingstoke to unwrap my package....

checked it over to see all was well...

and noted that clearance was an issue....

since the engine is a little *non-std* we made a quick trip to slough for a little precision engineering

with all the hard work done we just slapped it all together and lined it up in the car....

notice we never removed the gearbox [:D]

to prevent any bad vibes i thought i'd better get my Feng Shui consultant (fresh from Toni and Guy) to come and check out the engine bay...

...he suggested that transvers mounting was the best way to allow the Chi to flow between the driven wheels [:D]

so we bolted up the block to the box and mounts

    slapped on the head...

and after fitting the last few bits the job was done...

of course it fired first time ;)

Many thanks to Matt at Designadubs for his weekend, Suz for feeding me, James for the feng shui advice, ChrisP for lending a hand and John at Ridgeway Racing for doing some machining at very short notice.

so go on then guys - what is it i've just fitted?
