Just thought I'd leave a post for the fantastic service/work I've had from this place. It's not the biggest workshop but I was recommended to go there from a BMW technician that used to apprentice there.

I put it in for a head change (don't want to ruin this car so I'm going to buy another to tinker with!) and all manner of little bits and bobs.

The car came back today (after a shockingly quick head change) and it's 100000% better for it!

I had a p&p kr head with re-profiled cams put on and the idle is absolutely crazy. Such a lovely lumpy idle

The car runs so smooth now and I know he undertook alot of extra work that I didn't ask for and for free!

Can't recommend them enough and Peter Breading knows these cars inside and out. So if anyone else was struggling to find a decent honest garage to be let loose on their pride and joy (I was bricking it) then this has got to be worth a look.

If anyone knows it, it's down Aviation Way near Southend Airport in Essex. I'm sure you can find them on the net somewhere but if anyone needs a postcode I'll find it out for you.

They don't have a website but I have a number for them (01702) 546392. His wife was a bit scary on the phone  but they're really nice humble people.

Thanks to them for making my car even more of a pleasure to drive.

All in it was 370, 280 labour the rest parts. Such as head bolts and gaskets, expansion tank and bits. I'm chuffed to bits! Saw a 2.0 nova split it's rad hose whilst I was there too, ouch!!

To be fair the first time I rang up I spoke to Peter who was really cool and very helpful. The next time when I wanted to book it in I spoke to his wife who said they wouldn't touch an engine conversion. I was a bit miffed so I called again the next day and spoke to Peter who said to just pop down whenever I get a chance and he'll have a look. Had it booked in within a week and the work only took about a day to complete!

Oh and that was a heck of a lot cheaper than a company down London Road wanted, almost cried when I got that quote

Anyway I'm off for a razz in what feels like a brand new car! Chow!
