Twin 40s / 45s - what fuel pressure?

    Thanks for the responses re the return line (or lack of) in the other thread. It raised another question - namely that of running the correct fuel pressure.

    I'd be grateful if you could give me an idea of what psi you're running and with what engine/carbs.

    Carbs use only 3-5psi usually

    Yeah, think I'm running 5 psi.
    2.1 16v, twin 45's/ 185 main jet 165 idle( i think)

    3.5 psi, more than enuff normally, thats all I run on my 8v with 48's, but the carb size is largely irelevant

    3.5 over here..

    Would it matter if you ran it high if you had a return?

    They just dont need any higher pressure's than above really, just enough to keep the fuel bowls topped up but not too much to cause flooding.
