    Howdy,
As of last week i've started using a 9A lump with some jenvey 45 DTH bodies on as a daily driver
Just wondering what sort of MPG people are getting around town and along the motorway on a run ?

It actally seems very good if you stick to 1/2 throttle, alough that it largly to do with the mapping..

    Experiences ?

    Mart :)

i think jelly mentioned a figure of about 10mpg on his run to no-rice a couple of months ago, although whether thats indicative of his general MPG i'm not sure

Interesting stuff guys. Always good to know as I will have a set on, err, two engines soon. Shares in Shell could be a good idea!!

jetta would return 32-35mpg on motorway cruising (mapped to do so) and in the other extreme would do about 10mpg track attacking

like you said - its all in the mapping - mine was mapped to be very good on fuel at 75-80mph a while ago and like Bill said, would make maybe 30mpg.

But not any more. Now mapped for maximum attack ! daft mpg.....90 miles on 45L of optimax on a trackday is about normal, less mpg for sprints.

I'm thinking of doing the bike carb route for my 16v KR... I've done a search about MPG, but it seems everytime it's asked its never answered!

has that been set up properly?

I've heard claims of 25-30 with a good set-up? is that far fetched?

They only reason I ask is because i'm a student.. so skint most of the time!

I think 20 - 25 mpg is definately achievable with a correct set up and tune, but the noise is too addictive to not drive it flat out everywhere. I average 12 - 15 on twin 45 webers 9a

Not too bad. I suppose if I wanted good economy i'd get a 1.1! As long as a half-decent MPG is acheivable around town with nice driving thats all i'm bothered about. I expect if I drive hard i'd get next to nothing!

    Whats everyone else get?
