I was looking into fitting a 1.9 TDI vac pump to my ABF, go provide the vacuum for the servo, when using ITBs.
But this looks like it may be a none starter as the drive gears appear to be incompatible - not only intermediate shaft to vac pump...but vac pump to oil pump too.

So...has anyone come accross any cars that use an electric vacuum pump?
Some diesel engines must use them...from other manufacturers.
    Any ideas?

Also, to those who are running ITBs:
Do you run the vacuum off a single cylinder TB?
    If so...how are the brakes?

Or do you run a 4 way manifold type set up to get enough vacuum?

    Any comments appreciated.
    Cheers,

    Glen.
