ABF Block & 9A head ?

    Which head gasket is best ot use or does it not make any difference ?
    Are there any fitment issues should be aware of ?

    Is there a reason you're using the 9a head? as with standard cams they are by far the worst vw 16v head, much better off with a KR or ideally the ABF head

    if you use a KR Head make sure the piston clear the head, most KR Heads are fettled to fit the ABF Pistons.

    interesting as ABF cams have more lift? smaller exhaust valves on ABF IIRC

    There is a reason, which I realy can't be arsed to type out here lol..

    The engine the 9A head is on is producing 155hp ATW @7000rpm anyway so can't be that bad :)

    Cheers, it certainly was untill the head gasket failed at the 'ring ! Still, it meant i landed a job there lol.
