I would actually ask whether it really is a TPS that you have.

Bosch also made units that look like a TPS, but are in fact sealed units that simply have two switches inside. One for closed throttle, one for WOT. You can hear the switches clicking inside.

When I was searching the local scrapyard for a TPS, all of the Bosch units I found turned out to be as described above. In the end, the only TPS units I could find were Ford.

Can you post a picture of what you have?

apparently rover k-serires engines have a tps that works with ms and fits on a MK2 throttle nice using a bracket, must be tons o rovers appearing in the scrappy now, but be quick before they rust away

    Some discussion here.

Not sure how helpful it is, but I just googled the Bosch PN and got loads of results.

That is very much like the units that I origially got hold of, and discovered that they weren't TPS units, but just a couple of switches inside (as opposed to a potentiometer).

Edit: I suppose that either could be called a 'TPS' coming to think of it, but for MS you require a potentiometer type.

Just simply use a DVM on resistance setting between the centre terminal and one of the outer ones; you'll quickly tell!

    How about an ABF TPS?
The spindle size looks to be roughly the same...and they work perfectly with MS.

ok tried it out last night with a Fluke, the left pin and central pin have a circuit regardles of position, the resistance changes as i open the throttle.

So it may be a Potentiometer???

Ess Three, got one for sale?

I'll have to check, but I think I have a couple spare, in my toolbox.
Won't be back onshore for a week though...so it would have to be after that.
