anyone ever supercharged a mk3 2.0 8v tall block before?? i have it in my mk2 (8v) shell at the min. i dont know if its at all possible but thought it might be a giggle. figured the g60 charger may be the ideal unit to go for but if anyone has any info on a conversion and parts required i'd be greatfull for any help!!

    Cheers all!

you would probably be better off starting with a g60 engine if you want to use the G lader, or go and purchase a Rotrex kit, the you would have to have a new EMS, lower the CR and your off.

    - SC14 supercharger with magnetic-clutch --> press the button to fly
    - 2 metal head gaskets to lower the CR
    - fuel pressure regulator
    - Blitz BOV
    - NO Intercooler
    - HKS Turbo timer
    - ABF Injectors

    This is the SC14

I have my ECU fixed to deal with MAP not air-flow, and I used stock ECU with fuel pressure regulator to force more fuel into the engine, and about power am not quite sure but its around 180+ HP, at 0.4 Bar it was so crazy, and I would never forget that sad look on the Mustang GT driver when I smoked him ;)

One way of doing it is to get a G60 setup, then bolt on the g60 to your 2.0 block, wire in the g60 ecu, fit two head gaskets and bolt the g60 head on top.

    G60 setup!!!

    G60 ladder + G60 harness + G60 ECU + G60 Head = HOW MUCH OF MONEY!!!! [xx(]

get the full G60 engine then [:^:]

Another way of doing it is eaton M45 charger (about 150?), g60 ecu and loom (about another 150), should reach about 200bhp and s**t loads of torque

Definitely like some info on this.... been pondering the option to supercharge the 2E for some time. However cost is a factor.... if its going to add up ....may as well go 1.8T route.

Coming back to th UK for bit, so may pickup an Eaton that side ;)

you don't need the g60 charger bracket, ask eatonmk2 he'll give you more info. The g60 swap will look easier to do, but in the long run it will cost you more money (charger rebuilds)

The eaton is much better charger imo.

ECU wise you can use a G60 ecu or megasquirt choice is yours

I don't know to much on this subject (only what I research when I was looking to do it), eatonmk2 and toyotec are really the people to advise you further.

Personally I would go with m62 as it run moe boost @ higher rpms. Not being a fabricator myself i'm not sure how hard the bracket is to make. I can't see it being too hard though.

a basic shopping list for 8v eaton

    stacked head gaskets
    eaton charger
    g60 injectors or bosch 440cc
    g60 inlet manifold (optional0
intercooler (ebay ones seem to be good)
g60 ecu and loom or Megasquirt ecu

thats basically it, I've probably missed a few things out.

This little lot should see the sunny side of 200bhp and about 220-240 ftlb torque if not more
