Lidl's have these at the moment for under a tenner picture pinched from ebay where they are selling them for 42 Comes with a mains charger and a cigar lighter lead, quotes 5-6 hours charge time for 2.5 hours use, seems plenty bright enough.
i have a 37 led lamp (6v) and its awesome. i wanted to charge it last weekend so tried to discharge the battery. it took 2 days for the battery to run flat. leds ftw i might get one of these too. are the battery and 12v?
My local one has none left for now(Slough). Shame! They did have some other good stuff. - Stanley 1/4 inch socket set for 9 quid - Digital Vernier Caliper for 9 quid - Ratchet straps sets for not much - Stanley screwdriver set for?? - Gaffer tape for about 1.50
yeh the specials stuff seems to sell out pretty quickly, keep an eye out for whats coming up on their site as I expect they will have them again. http://www.lidl.co.uk/uk/home.nsf/pages/c.o.20090302.index.ar6 and matt I guess you could use it whilst it's plugged in, the leads not all that long though.
I went to another Lidl at lunchtime today - the one in Hayes... they'd just run out - dammit! However, I did buy some goodies instead.... spent nearly 100 in total, but got loads of stuff. Here are some edited highlights: - Car boot tidy - 3.40 each - 15m extension cable reel in a stand with handle - 11.90 - Two mains worklights (lead-lights) with energy saving bulbs and 5m lead, rubberised with a metal cage round the bulb - 6.84 each - Brazing Blowtorch with gas canister - 8.80 - Rechargeable batteries - 2.92 per pack - 5x gripper clamps - various sizes - 4.84 - A 'furniture transporter' set - 2x metal bars with little wheels. I intent to screw them to a board to use for moving engines around, or use as a car creeper - 5.85 - 3 rolls of gaffer tape - 1.45 each - Battery operated LED lights (little stick-on ones that take 3xAAA batteries). I'm going to wire them up in series to a 12v car battery and use them in the garage (no power in my lock-up) - 3.90 for 3 lights (4x LED's per light). - 20 sheets of sandpaper - 95p I expect some of it will turn out to be tat, but it's worth finding out, at those prices. Bargainous!
