This is one of the only chances in the year for VAG drivers to compare times,
on track, on a dedicated VAG-only day, so it's a special event.

An ideal event for all drivers of VAG cars of all types:

Road, sprint or track machinery!

Club GTI Members: £39
Non-Club GTI members: £49
Extra drivers: £10

Helmets advised.
Cars must be road legal - event [URL="http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=189346"]rules[/URL.

(Let us know if you have a trailer-only car. We're listening)

No other modifications required.

For those planning on going to Edition38,
we could arrange to head over for the Sat eve?

Track cars on Tour - and then on Show.

Event rules are now in a separate sticky thread here

Curborough newbies, and regulars of old, it'll be great to see you along
- thanks in advance of your support

Club GTI has run events at Curborough since the early 1990s
Run by the members, for the members.

Well after the huge success of the Tracktour openning event at the beginning of this month we are happy to move quickly to secure a second date for more of the same at the beginning of september.

Get your names down and paid up now to avoid the disappiontment of missing out on a cracking days worth of grass roots motorsport.

By "popular" demand (well, 2 people asking if my car was A) a VR6, and B) if I was taking it round the track) I shall be there putting the VR through its paces (and checking the rumours that they can actually do corners) as well as wearing that rather fetching Luminous yellow jacket.

yep - I'll have a bit of this all being well - maybe in 'demo' class though as might run with tyres that fall outside the specified regs - or start on allowed ones and move on to quicker ones later in the day

depends on the weather though

H&R Arb-s will be fitted by then, more negative camber up front plus maybe some sticky rubber will find the way under the arches

And bigger Brembos may be fitted

Aiming for high 28-s if dry

Have fitted a 6 speed dog box and new front suspension since last time there, and all being well will have sequential shifting (with flat shift capability) in next month or so also....so will be interesting to see if it improves my times any at Curby (will be quicker on straight but will it be quicker in the bends....dont want to find I am between gears in a bend but hopefully the ratiios are close enough to get away with this) - a 27 would be nice (weather/reliability/skill/nerve permitting )

Old box was a 5 speed synchromesh box (VAG ratios) which was good for 168mph I seem to remember. And this was as short as I could get it with stock parts ! bonkers. New one is from SQS Racing and is good for 135mph in 6th, at 8500rpm, so quite a difference. Straight cut.....it whines like a be at ch LOL.
