If some of you 16v owners are looking for a decent size metering head you can get them straight from Volvo. They are larger than the VW item similar to that of the VW motorsport jobbies. It is however a fourteen day turn around and they want half the money up front. Price is 690 inc vat and the part number is v05003509. Volvo discription is N/STK fuel distribut.

    690 quid :o

TBH, I don't think there's anything wrong with the standard one until you want to go well over 200bhp with a valver.

Totally agree David. Had Martin Woolford's MK1 16v solid lifter in yesterday, it will rev to 8500rpm but wont supply the fuel to match. Only relevant if your going wild I suppose?

Yes mate. Martin tried that approach, ended in tears though. Imo with a car thats pushing 8500rpm I would want the piece of mind that the thing will work and not go belly up on me!

If I was going that serious with an engine tho, I'd just go for twin Webbers or Throttle Bodies if I could afford it. The main drawback at those revs tends to be that the K-Jet can't supply enough air, not fuel.

For 700, you could get a much better way of fuelling than std. K-Jet.

Yeah, you could go for direct to head throttle bodies with say Peugeot management or full aftermarket programmable stuff if you could afford it.
