Bought this from James (corrado-VR6-turbo) last week. Its sublime, in amazing condition and such an animal. I wasnt too sure as I do like working on cars to get them a bit better and this needs nothing doing for a long time but it was too good a car to miss. Right place at the right time and all that.

Only thing Ive done so far is put the TH2's from my other Corrado on it and raise it slightly at the rear. Apart from that Im just going to enjoy and maintain it. Maybe even track it once Im used to it. Other Corrado is for sale but Im not pushing to sell.

Its an amazing car but I prefered it with the Metro bonnet vents. Any plans to refit them?

Eh, no. Chopping into a Carbon fibre bonnet is not the done thing I would imagine.

In a word, very! Fastest thing I had previously was the Cupra R, this is another level. Still getting used to it at the moment, 2 hands required when the boost come in.

Wee update. Sold the black split rims and was looking for TT comps or similar to cover the breaks as a spare set when these came up a few streets away. Decided to put them on and the car looked great but a bit OTT for me.

Was out watching VR6T at the hillclimb the other week and noticed a slight flash of the oil light on the way home. Seemed to be running fine but checked it when it was put in the garage and the whole of the drivers underside was covered in oil. Eventually found the leak and it was the turbo oil feed line. New one ordered and all seemed ok but then starting getting oil smoke coming through.[:^(] Checked everything and concluded the turbo must have been starved of oil. Got the turbo off and fair bit of play in the shaft. I knew this may happen at some point, just not so soon.

Anyway sold the RH's alloys on and since I sold the 24V Corrado the other week I decided to bite the bullet and go for a Garrett GT3582R. Not cheap but should be easily within its capabilities. Ive learned so much over the last week so its been a good learning exercise for me of not for the wallet. Should hopefully get the new Turbo tomorrow and coolant hoses/fittings next week. If it bolts up to existing hardware Im hoping to have it up and running for Kames in a couple of weeks.
Ive moved the plate to the original position and managed to get a pair of fog light intake ducts. Not sure Im going to use them though.

Not good news re the turbo but at the same time, GT35R makes up for it!

Compos looked nice and fresh, the RH's look old on this car.
