Here's a couple pics of my '95 8v build. I'm installing Autotech alloy timing pulleys, Autotech cam, lightweight cam followers, Gruvenparts alloy drive pulleys, while doing the whole timing belt/water pump maintenance.

The quads are Votex shells with Cibi lamps.

Did you squeeze larger than normal Cibis in the shells? I have only seen Votex shells with smaller lamps. They look really good. What are the part numbers?

It's a 270, a mild street cam (for now)! Should work well with the Techonics chip and TT non-cat downpipe I'm also installing. I think the dual downpipe will really let 'er breath without some of the hassles of a full header. I've heard the Xflow exhaust mani flows ok anyway.

These lamps were all original Votex. I had them shipped from Germany, where the guy I bought them from said he had stored them on a shelf for the last 12 or 14 years. I got everything new exept the original box. The lamps are almost 6" and are quite bright! Thanks for the good words! I'll try to see if the paperwork has the part #s.
Been through Sligo on vacation a few years ago, loved it and Ireland. I want to come back in a year or so, but I'm afraid I won't want to leave! Could you hide me in the basement or something?

Update: So after getting it all back together I've run it pretty hard since the summer. I'm happy with the 270 cam (for now) and the valvetrain mods have quickened the revs a bit.I have replaced the alternator and bracket with one from an ABF, since this gets rid of the spring tensioner and I'm not running A/C. I also dropped the power steering, which gives better road feel IMOP. I also installed a USRT Smartshift linkage to get rid of all the bushings, it uses rose joints for all the pivots. Nice and crisp shifting. The auto-adjust clutch cable was replaced with a manual (the best money spent so far). I'm very happy with the results so far, especially how it cleaned up.

The alternator sits lower, more room for ITB's or SR intakes!

Subtle ideas on the front-end look very nice! Did you transplant the whole engine, or is it a cross-flow head on an AGG bottom-end. I'm not sure if NA got the Mk3 already with a cross-flow?

It's a crossflow ABA, came standard in NA. It has a nice torquey feel in the lower revs, but some are afraid to wind them up. With good maintenance and the mods I've done to the valvetrain, I can get good pull up through 7k rpm all day.:) Here's another shot of the front. A local sign shop is going to put a matte black 3M Dinoc on the center raised part of the hood for less than I can buy the material for! Pics next week.
