standard combustion chamber cc in crossflow

    can anyone tell me the volume of the combustion chamber of a 8v crossflow head ?

    The standard chambers are the same as counterflow 8v heads. Basically around the 30cc mark.
    You really need to properly burette check this, as head skim, bigger valves, flat or recessed head valves, and valve seats being cut can all effect the volume by a fair bit.

    If you can get a pic showing the slight lip at head gasket face above the spark plug hole this gives a good indication of if the head has been skimmed.
    Also the head dimension thickness from the cam cover gasket face to the head gasket face will be a tell too.
    My unskimmed crossflow head is 133.15mm thick. :thumbup:

    thats even better ! although its off this morning to have 1mm off, the chambers came out at 29cc
