As title, could anyone running a BAM nab the block casting numbers off it please? Believe it should start 06A and be 7 to 10 digits (6 numbers, 1 letter or 9 numbers, 1 letter). Cheers
bam block? hi been trying hard to find this out and a 'damaged bam block' has came up on ebay, i have mailed the bloke asking for the numbers off the block and hes replied, aparently the numbers are 06A103021C, which matches the apx. the only problem i think is is it a real bam block? we just need sombody to conferm this. looking good!
Nice one Duff, im really eager to see if they match, good chance that they will, if they do spose try and find differences in the head or ports and which is really the better engine for tuning! good stuff
I also have the part number 06A103021C cast on my BAM bottom end. It was removed from a 2004 SEAT Leon Cupra R.
I also have the same number on mine. Led to believe it came from a 2002 TT cab. (jealous wife poured fuel through ripped roof of unfaithful husband's TT, torched it, fire crews just in time to save engine, great story etc...) HTH.
Right, the numbers are pretty conclusive, so much block sharing going on as suspected from volume manufacture! Data now added into here: http://www.clubgti.com/forum/showthread.php?t=220746
