picking this up this week. I would love to varify this. saw the car in person today and the milage is true. Car is spotless and a euro market preproduction mk2. No luck w ABT and their history but going to look harder into it's past after we pick it up. Hopefully Chris or one of you can help w the varification of it. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4752515-FS-1984-VW-Euro-Golf-2-very-low-kilometers-ATL
The photo's before the resto look to be from a high milage, uncared for car. Why have it in such poor condition and have the engine lying inside the car if it was such a low milage import? I would be suss on this one but i'm no expert. Hope it works out for you.
It hasn't been restored but buffed out and seeing the condition of the car the mileage is verified. I will have a written history from what the owner knows this week. From what we know so far the gentleman who bought it from got it from his dad who brought it over from ABT. The son never drove it and never did anything with it. Just sat and sat.
Looks like there are a four bolts front, sides and back through the inner wing that will be screwed into the alloy spherical top mount assemblies. You can just see them under the strut brace that is laid on top of them.
