no going back now-ive started my 20vt mk2

    my 20vt conversion!


    last sunday me and a couple of my friends spent the day removing the engine out of my mk2 16v, compared to removing my new1.8t from the leon it was well easy!


    Over the course of this week weve been gradually removing all of the steeering assembly to make way for power steering [:D]also ive been treating the rust in the engine bay.


    Looks like a bit of a mess in this pic(yeah i know its white [:$]), also its a bit crap quality because i took it with my phone.


    I will post some more pics tonight when ive got mk new shift unit installed.

    What gearbox/clutch/pedal set up are you using?

    im using a gearbox from a 2.0 16v ibiza and my standard pedal setup. the gear change mechanism ive got is from a mk4 golf.

    managed to get a few bits done this weekend!


    got the mk4 shifter unit in:clap:(pics to follow), and got the engine bay primered up, looks a million times better than it did!
