    Try making that for 100!

They are a decent bit of kit. Light, neat and work fine. Well worth the money IMO.

I'm all for saving pennies wherever possible, but sometimes you have to grin and bear it.

One thing I noticed with mine was they only seem to have one return spring - the one that fits around the black plastic stick.

I thought the MSA required two. Nick, any the wiser?

Well if the Jenveys are Direct-to-Head then they can use a different linkage, such as mine.....

Believe it was developed by Badger-Bill & works fine on my car. No idea on price though :)

Not sure thinking about it Chris!

It's something that the scruitineers ALWAYS check and they have never pulled me on it.

Plenty of race cars running the same set up so I guess its ok.

Unless they count the springs on the spindles that close the flaps in the bodies as a return spring?

That's the only other way they can legitimately be happy I suppose.

Altern8 - yes, Bill might be able to sort something. His versuion uses a standard throttle cable (at least in a Mk2 I think, Chris?)

The other thing that struck me about the linkage was it runs one cable, whereas it was fairly commonplace on a twin carb set up to see twin cables [:s]

To be honest, once all the bits were put together Id changed my mind about the value of the kit.
Its fits together fantastic, is really smooth and the return system is better than I could imagen, wish my bike was as smooth!
Here was the completed thing, extremly happy with it now.
Yes, you could make your own, but you'd need some serious still to knock something up as good as that without having each piece copied.

Does anyone know which is the best throttle body upgrade for my MK3 8v GTI? Your advice would be much appreciated. Cheers

It's a nice linkage...but not a hope in hell of it fitting DTHs on an ABF.
Sadly, I found out the hard way...and swapped to a Bedger 5 linkage kit instead.
