    How do,
Just got this set of front monsters for my mk2 from my mate, not much use on em:p

Question i have is can i get different set of pads for these calipers that will cover/clamp bigger area on the rottors face?

Check em out compared to standard 16v pads, note how much narrower they are[xx(]

I think it's a waste of clamping/friction area on the disks face!

    Anyone use bigger pads?

i had brembos on my old ibiza , and used std brembo pads then changed to omp when they were dead . i found the omp jobbies naff in comparision , i would use std brembos everytime , depends if it is heavy track use i guess but for 95% of the time the std ones were far better

Not bothered about what make pads are, just wanted to know if they differ in size i/e if some are wider than the others

Or is this how much of rottors face is used at most with these calipers?

pads should all be the same pattern as they need to fit the caliper , and thickness needs to be the same as the disc width will be the same (if all new ) . imho go with std pads and monitor them

just noticed, they're 'Bremsport' and not Brembo callipers ;)

I also had Brembo's on my Ibiza, same as Martin, awesome stopping power! It's not just about the size of the pads, is more about the amount of force used to press the pads against the discs!!

    I'm not worried:)

Pads i got with them are nearly new and will be using them as i was informed brakes were really good on a rallye with this set up

It was only curiosity that got me thinking why the pads are narrow as there is extra 5-8mm space within caliper so bigger pads would deffinitely fit

I've got some Bremsport 295's They are a part of the old TAS Trans Auto Sport company which some departments are now trading under another name.

By the looks of it the Bremsport Calipers use Willwood pad designs, Mine sue the dynalite bridgebolt pads and yours look likes it uses the larger Superlite pads. Not alot you can do realy just use some decent pads like the Ferodo's and they will work fine.
