Well i'm just back from a Foo's gig in London

Normally i wouldn't mention anything on this forum about it but this gig i just have to shout to the hills [:D]

First support act was Juliet and the Licks, that's juliet lewis the actress, from such films as From Dusk Till Dawn

Second support act was Angels and Airwaves, frontman Tom de Longe, from such other bands as Blink 182

Third act was Queens of the Stone age

    Forth act was MOTORHEAD [:D]

Finally the foo fighters came on, played fantastically, but that's not the highlight of the evening at all for me!

Their first encore comes in as one of my all time greatest moments.
    - "hang on a sec that's Brian May"
    - "OH MY F'KING GOD THAT'S QUEEN!!!"

[:D] [:D] Queen came on stage and played!!

Just thought i'd let you know, i still can't get it out of my head!!

I'd have shot the Foo Fighters in the face so that Motorhead would have had to keep playing. Love them warts..........

I used to love the Foos, years ago, but I think The Colour & The Shape is probably the best album they've done and I really haven't been able to embrace any of their stuff since then. It's been good music, lively where it needs to be and soft where it works, but all in all... Their latest work just feels... Generated (pardon the pun).

As a live act though, they're bloody unreal. I saw them at Melbourne's Big Day Out festival in 2000, and they were a real standout.

Watched the Foo's at the IOW festival last weekend, wicked set, but some monkey in technical turned down the PA. Dave Grohl was putting out a dedication to a local girl that died in a car crash just after the festival last year, but we couldn't hear it because he was so quiet!

    Mint.

I went to see them yesterday in Manchester.

Problem is - it p**sed it down all day.

Support acts were Angels & Airwaves, The Strokes, The Subways, and Angels of Death Metal.

Was fully drenched by the end of it, but it was an amazing concert.

Roll on Chilli Peppers next month! [:*:]
