    G60 rear bracket is on. I thought the rear mounts were all the same on Mk2's?

    I think its the front bracket which needs to be changed. Been looking everywhere for a Corrado or G60 front bracket, and there seems to be none around!!

    Or, like rubjonny suggested in another thread, it might be worth adusting the front solid mount and try and jiggle it into place.

    Was thinking that myself Nige. :)

    Will try out R.J's method, and if it proves difficult finding a 4 cylinder 02a bracket, it will definitely be worth making the hole bigger ;)

    If you've got the starter motor by now, please retro-post "bump start it" for me.

    Lol. lol

    Well, the engine is now all in complete, awaiting a starter motor ;)

    Here are from pictures from today. I managed to get everything in the bay.

    So glad that it's all finally in, 3 months since the last engine blew [:D]

    Thing left to do are:

    * Bleeding new brakes
    * Fit new rear suspension
    * Fit the exhaust
    * Give it a real good clean

    I've got until next weekend to complete it.

    Should hopefully make it for Inters ;)

    Looking good mate, wish I was making as much progress with my Scirocco! - Although there seems to be lot more 'fundamental restoration' on mine! Projects like this help me see the light at the end of the tunnel..

    I should really start a thread, but the 500 odd photos I have would take an age to sort!

    I put in some oil and coolant today, only to find that the metal water pipe has a tiny split in it, allowing coolant to leak all over the gearbox :(

    Hopefully I can buy a new one ? Will pop into Vw tomorrow!
