Is it different to 16v/8v? Could I have a part number please?

    Thanks

I`m pretty certain it`s the same.

    Vagcat doesn`t show a part number, but it shows two different setups;

8v and 16v share the same pipes and brackets, etc, whilst the G60 and 1.6 diesel share a slightly different arrangement.

The pump would appear to be the same in both cases.

The pump itself is model specific or the pipes and mounts?

I enquired about a new vw pump for my 16V the other day and it was over 500.00 [:s]

Having said that though the GSF one that I bought for 60.00 lasted all of 20 miles before it started leaking [8(]

I can probably dig out the part number if you want?

It's the spacing that's different on the g60 for the charger belt set up. And they are obsolete from Vw[8(] Got to love Vw for things like that

I noticed the pump fitted to my G60 must have been a 8v or 16v one.
And who ever fitted it had put some small shims behind the pulley, to get it to line up.

So if you get stuck it might be worth considering, I didn't have any problems with it

So, basically the pump is the same, it`s the pulley that`s different?

Or, is it the pump shaft that`s longer with the casing matched to it, and a normal pulley?

It's the shaft and the outlet but these can be worked around... The G60 one is obselete but I think VW Spares etc can get them still.

AWK-53 - Not sure where that price came from as even a non exchange comes in at less than 400 mate...

KR engine PAS pump is still available for 128.50 exchange from TPS - 6K0422154X (RRP is 171)

The above is what i'd buy if it can be made to work on a G60 for sure.

That price was from a VW dealership, but thanks for those other prices.

Took my pump back to GSF who are sending it away to be inspected and if they agree it's leaking then I should get my money back in 4 - 6 weeks!
