Yes, but it's not common. Folk use 1.8T manifolds / adapt 16v ones as reqd.

Are there any threads that go from a normal turbo TB to an ITB setup, I know the general rule with turbo charging is to worry about the exhaust side of things due to the pressure created on the inlet but I would still like to see what performance gains there are.

Since I quite like the idea of a GT28RS with an ITB setup.

I've not seen anyone do it in a while. Jenvey TBs I believe are good for holding pressure, but the packaging around them is the issue, all bespoke fabrication?

It was done in the mid-90s, possibly with carbs. I would hazard a guess, given that the WRC crowd opt for carefully designed plenums to spread air to the cylinders, that it's an interesting technical exercise, but possibly one that doesn't yield results.

    Injector spray patterns could suffer?

If you want ITB & Turbo combinations, check out some Nissan Pulsar forums- came with this set-up as standard, and there's plenty of them with large power.

Chris- What's the thinking behind injector spray pattern suffering?

They might be limited by regs, i'm looking at extreme hill climb still to see if there's anyone using that kind of setup.

    Random porn I just found:

Just thinking aloud - short stretch of tract with high air speed. Happy to be wrong about that.

Something lingers about this being relatively uncommon way of doing things.

I think you're probably right, I know the BMW S52 engines respond well to turbo/super chargeing though and they're ITB?

Trendy Tramp used then on his super/turbocharged beastie, I think it just simplified the pipe run

there are options on the jenvey pleum to use bodies or single body so its pretty flexible, and can mount different ways side to side, upside down etc. incredibly light!

The big question though.... is it worth it badger?

Any data to show increases in response/power?
