Are these two types interchangeable? Ignoring the fact two of the take-offs are larger dia. The one on the left is 028 903 283 F from a 1Z 90 brake, whereas the one on the right is 1HO 906 627 A, which is off a Passat 110. I think the second one is also fitted to a Golf 3 AHU. The reason I ask is the latter has a vaccum ball cylinder as part of the capillary install, assisting the vaccum, suggesting it works in an entirely different way or needs more in reserve?
Unlikely to work the same chris, the 1z 90hp is a wastegated pressure based n75 valve. The 110 passat should be a vacuum based n75 valve which runs the variable vane turbo. It may work, but I don't think it will work correctly.
What you`ve got there Chris is the valve for the EGR... Lives here on the AHU; And this is how it`s plumbed in (middle left); Back to the scrappers it is!
You probably have got an n75 valve there chris, the egr and n75 valve on early 110 tdi's was the same part with the same part numbers. Hence you could swap them over to check if one wasn't working. Although I can't get on vagcat to check it was that on the passats.
