I have both coolant temp and inlet air temp sensors to fit as part of my ABF Megasquirt conversion. Both are Bosch items, both are two pin sensors and both have the numbers '1' and '2' on the plug part of the sensor.

However, as I only have the sensors and plugs (no wires yet), I don't know which is the signal pin and which is the earth pin on each sensor - can anyone advise?

Also, I'm trying to determine the resistance values associated with each sensor, as I will need this for calibration in MS. For example, other than the VAG part number, the CLT sensor has "0 280 140 040" stamped into the collar. Does this mean anything?

    Thanks!

Ah, might actually be better off with this in the electrical forum!

It doesn't matter. They are basically temperature dependant resistors and they have no polarity.

Excellent, makes things simple then :)

Any thoughts on the resistance values?

If you are using ms1. Easytherm has setting for the sensors.

if they're the oem abf sensors, resistance curve is as per: (most mk2/3/4 ecu inlet and coolant temp sensors use this curve)
