I think they are all pretty much copies of a Supersprint 4-2-1.

They are designed for LHD cars so people have trouble with Steering UJ boot clearance.

I have a Powersprint and can't fault it, my Mk1 is LHD though. http://www.ebay.de/itm/Powersprint-...469980305?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item35a914d091

You could always try one of these with the standard manifold, its supposed to flow fairly well, worst case scenario it mightn't fit perfectly and might require some modification. http://www.ebay.de/itm/Neu-GruppeA-...087467993?pt=DE_Autoteile&hash=item3cca0699d9

    thanks for the help guys.

bigbenbird is yours RHD. As murph81 mentioned I am aware of the steering UJ boot problem thats why I thought supersprint made piston 1 go under the others to help with the clearance.

the dubpower one doesnt do this, but if you have fitted it with no issues it should be ok. Is this the one you used?

    thanks

bigbenbird is your golf a RHD, as murph81 said I am aware of the Steering UJ boot clearance problem and thats why I thought supersprint makes piston 1 go under the other outlets to help with the clearance problem. Is this the right dubpower manifold: http://dubpower.co.uk/4 -1 manifold for MK1 16V conversion x.JPG

But if your happy with yours it should be fine.

    Thanks

bigbenbird is your golf RHD, i am aware of the steering JU boot clearance problem mentioned by murph81. but the dubpower doesnt seem to accomidate this like the supersprint ot just caddy one i.e. piston 1 seems to go under the other outlets to provide more clearance.

Seeing as your happy with the dubpower I am guessing there is no issue.

Dub power manifold won't fit an ABF without mods. Same for supersprint & probably most of the copies.

    Can you weld?

I have fitted an ABF in my Mk1 and used a Superprint manifold.

Its a simple matter to clear the steering rack knuckle but you`ll need to weld.

Undercut the tubes with a hacksaw, bend down so the bottom closes up and weld up - it only takes about 1.5mm at the top to move the manifold at the bottom sufficient to clear the knuckle - use your old manifold as a heat soak and to prevent warping.

Properly clears the knuckle and the linkages.

    My dubpower manifold fits fine

Craig yes it's RHD. Another lad uses one too, yes uj boot clearance is tight, but nothing heat wrap hasn't been able to handle

I have a 4:1 that came with the ABF I bought but is probably no good for my Mk2 'rocco.

    Probably from a Mk3 though I guess.

If it's of any use I'll dig it out and take some better pictures.
