The one I'm looking at has had a charger rebuild. It will be a weekend toy rather than a daily so for that reason fuel isn't an issue. I've heard about them grenading!

What's like on insurance and driving a left hander?

you can insure as a classice, left hand drive is fine, the more you drive the more you get used to it.

My current mk2 is on a classic policy so no worries there. Thanks for the info - I'll report back on how I get on in a week or so.

Nice................Had a few G's and daily is a 16vG so I'm a convert. Oil changes and charger service are the two main things but I enjoy the hell out of it every single time I turn the key!

Car looks nice, more pics and spec needed

Imported from Germany in 2001 with 2 previous UK owners. Approximately 106k miles with history and importantly a report on the supercharger. The oil was changed last week and it passed the MOT with no advories. Comes with air con, electric mirrors and retro fitted electric recaros. The wheels and tyres were virtually put on the car before it was sold. It's nice and orginal just the way I like'em!

    More pics in due course!

Ive been considering a G60 engine for my MK2. It wont be a daily at that point but i wonder if the charger does let go what actualy risks being damaged? Just the charger or do you risk damaging more?
