After regretting selling my old Ex VAG racing/track Mk1, I jumped in with both feet and acquired another Mk1 of Razzer. I should have given the car a better look over as she requires a fair bit of body work but is basically sound and has a few nice bits being a Ex Slick 50 race car. This is just a rolling shell, and the idea is to give the car a thorough revamp, and put the engine and gear box from a Seat Ibiza Cupra 20VT that I bought from salvage. Looks good from a disstance but : The cage looks ok here but: http://imageshack.us/a/img18/6166/4j7n.jpg So, it's going to need sills replacing, roll cage sorting, new drivers side floor pan and box section as thats also knacker'd with use of jacking the car. I will put some more details up as and when, but I'm hopeless with computers!
Thanks for all your effort, but I still don't have a clue how to use the direct link, but I will perssist.
Sorry but I dont have at the moment, other than the car was originally white on a 83 Y plate and last raced by Ian Fowler. I did have another Ex slick 50 racing Mk1, that was Black and was last raced by Clare Tippet, when I get some time I will post a few pics of that one.
My old Mk1 race/track beast Here are a few picks of me and my son on a track day at Castle Come around 2007 in Claire Tippets old VAG race car. This was also purchased as a rolling chassis, I managed to get hold of a 2Ltr bubble block motor from TSR at the time, and it ran a genuine 145 hp with loads of grunt, I sold the car to a guy in Reading.
I was originally planing to use the cage that was in the car, but will probably have a complete new professioal weld in job.
Ah ha, right, thread spotted! History! 1992: 1995: Now owned by John Strickland: 1997: Now owned by Phil Simms, car on far right:- 2001: (ish) Left:- 2001 Roadsaloon Class B c/ship winner: SVP 528Y The reason why it was converted into a Richard Lloyd replica, I'll cover when I get a moment!
