    Peeps,

My Digifant's fuel pump is leaking. Where's best to get a new one?

ECP seem not to have one for the PB engine code.

    Ta,

If it is the casing, VW still sell them:
    165201042A - 53.20+VAT

I would recommend you buy 3 new pump mounting screws, plus the rubber mounts as they like to split when you try to undo. the mounts use m6 nuts and washers which you might want to get from a local fastener place rather than vw?
    N 10404701 - screw, 5x30 - 44p+VAT
    191201256 - rubber mount - 5.68+VAT

the alternative is convert to a mk3 fuel setup, might end up cheaper depending on where you source the parts from but its a fair bit more hassle

Well there's fuel slowly weeping from the flat base of the casing which makes me think there's a leak inside? I could be mistaken though. Is it a common thing? There is an obvious previous repair using sealant. Would you consider it just the casing if so?

    Thanks for all the info.

the plastic part of the pump is a seperate part, the pump is inserted into the back. casing part number is the one in my post above :)

and yeah the casings will start to go at this kind of age, ive had to do a couple. if you can find something to seal it which wont get eaten by petrol you'll be ok its not under pressure or anything. sometimes the reservoir splits around the fuel pump fixing screws as they corrode and expand, hence why I suggest you replace those at the same time.

Thought as much, that is why I asked

Just replace the casing and you would be good to go.

The job was done. Local Dub specialists sorted it for me, those screws were a ******* though..

Thanks again for all the help and advice.
