Well, today was finally the day to collect my new Mk7 GTI.

And what a car this is [:D]

Haven't had a chance to play about with it yet, but be assured that I will fill you all in with the details ;)

I collected it at 4pm, and was greeted by all the staff and managers to shake my hand and wish me luck with the car. All the guys at the dealers were all over it, and I was asked if I would allow the manager to do a little photoshoot of it, which is going up on the billboard outside the dealers

I only managed to get a couple of pictures before it got dark -

I'll get a few more pictures up over the weekend.

    Cheers.

    Rich.

Lovely car Rich. Thank god they didn't put 4 tailpipes on it like the S3's.

    Cheers Pal :)

It's such a nice car to drive, and sports mode is very noticeable.
Attention to detail is perfect, and there are so many things to play about with inside the car.

The Dynaudio sounds faultless, especially the subwoofer in the boot.

Will have a good play with it tomorrow :)

    Looks good.

Though Can't be much of a VW dealer if they were getting that excited about a GTI... First one they've sold?

    Cheers everyone. :)

As the weather is nice over the weekend, I'll be sure to take some lovely photos and get them up on here.

Andy - Not the first GTI they've sold, but the first 3Dr in black pearl with those wheels and performance pack that they have seen.

i must admit i had my doubts about the mk7.

but your color choice and alloy wheels just make it look amazing..

only thing missing now is the CGTI window sticker ;)

Very nice car. I had the use of a MK6 from work recently and that made me realise how more refined modern VWs are compared to the 14+ year old cars sat on our drive. The MK7 GTI must be awesome.

Will your MK2 20VT still have its place?
