Hi. Ive been asked to do put a build thread together for my rallye so here's a quick one.

Started out way back in 2007 when I bought an accident damaged rolling shell with plans of building a pd150 tdi rallye. Unfortunately after stripping the ABS servo out I found more accident damage. I just didn't have any confidence in the car after that so I started looking again. Found this black rallye half stripped with a missing sill. Struck a deal to break it for him and get the shell at a good price.

Got it home and stripped it down.

Then I started looking for an engine. Back then TDi wasn't as cool and to get it around the 4x4 was looking expensive. So a friend offered me this.

R32 from the 2003 Audi TT with DSG gearbox

So after years of mucking around in the shed and garage coming up with creative solutions the engine was in, TT dash all fitted and Haldex all grafted in she was getting somewhere.

Then it was time to go off to the bodyshop and interior off to the trimmers.

Then when I got her back it was time to try and remember how to put it all back together.

Wow. So awesome. Thanks for starting this thread!

Did the first crash-damaged Rallye shell ever get saved?

Then it was time to hit some shows.

I even made it into the 2013 car of the year short list which was a bit of a shock.

What a beautiful Rallye. So glad you shared the build thread on here.

And nice to see it converted to RHD, as that's exactly what I would do

    So clean...Amazing:clap:

If I was to be picky, The only thing I'm not too keen on is the design of the interior leather. It's a little "rippled" for my taste if you see what I mean. Like the seat base for example

Cheers guys. That's just the way the merc leather is. Spent ages trying to find a matching grain leather for the trim.

As soon as I saw the title I knew it was the one featured in PVW. Which was a fantastic read btw!

Car looks amazing, did you keep the TT Dash out of choice or so it would be easier to work with the DSG box?

Thanks again guys. I always liked the TT dash plus it made sense to keep everything simple. The whole car is literally an audi tt inside. It's only got about 6 inches of original wiring on the back lights, rest is TT.

I had never really noticed before but due to the dash width and the cutting of the door cards you can't open the glove box without opening the pass door.

Yeah, litteraly everything. I wanted the haldex and everything to work properly as they should rather than a switch or a dial. So it has the TT pedal assembly, TT servo, TT abs unit and sensors.

Cool makes It so much nicer
I like that you kept the dsg

I sold the gearbox I had to bam on r32oc
Not sure if he ended up using it or not

Would have been good to use it myself but it did pay for a lot of other things
