i found the same prob, got paint code from vw, l90e alpine white, bought it and wrong. Went to my local paint shop and turns out there are 2 shades of alpine white used, bought the other one and everyones a winner. The only diff now is where the original paint has bleached (hardly noticeable)

I bought some Helios touch up from VW terrible match, flat blue (even after lacquer) and way too light even on faded panels.

interesting, was the one you got from vw too white?

my mkII always looks really yellowy at the mo, as i'm looking after a white merc for a mate and its the most 'white' white paint i've ever seen!

yeah i think it made the other paint look grey in comparison! I used Autopaint international in Cov, by the way i tried paint from motor shops too with same code and was the same as vw paint.

    Mmmm I've been here.

Halfords Alpine White is too creamy but if you buy what they call Candy White I think you'll find it's a much closer match.

Else go to the Main Dealers !
