Spotted in polished form on a Golfy at Inters, looked ace & I knew they wernt 14inch from 100 yrds away (sad or what!) but have never heard or seen them in 15inch before & my old VW alloy wheel list(*) hasnt either. (*was in 1992 VW Audi car) So did the chap have then especially cast or were they available in 15 inch in other markets perhaps? And on that note, were any other VW 14 inchers like the Montreal (16v coke bottle tops) or the Silverstone (teardrop) available in 15 inch as never see them & the list says no also. (I know Le Castellet were in both 14 & 15 inch) Edited by: iguana
IIRC 15" Pslots were avaliable on vauxhalls or something back in the 80s, but are pretty rare now Riley or someone should be able to confirm it for you though!
Old gits amongst us will remember the CCC mk2 Golf project car, it had 15" P slots IIRC. Saw the red mk1 with them on. Edited by: GVK
they were made by either speedlione or ronal think and were sold as aftermarket wheels, they were available through the carnaseur catalougue that used to be around. i think they look well cool
Two types of 15" P-slots, the ones pictured above 5.5x15 et38 with 9 P's made by Ronal that are rare and the 6x15 et?? with 8 P's that were made by a French (I think) company that are very rare as they did not have the license from Pirrelli and were subsequently threatened with legal action. There was a set of the second type on e-bay recently and the bloke wanted a lot of money.
The 15s on that red Golf must have quite a high ET, they seem to sit quite far into the arches, more so than 14s would.
As a schoolboy I didn't read Performance car, but used to get CCC and read Motoring news It was an atlas grey 8v IIRC.
I spoke to the guy and he wanted 2.2K for it! Am i just stingey? I thought that sounded way too much. Dave
Yeah, you can see pics at the bottom of this page: But the company website, NCM-Felgendesign is down [:^(]
Yup I reckon you're stingy I think there's more of a market for original non-modded cars due to their classis status. I know it's modded (and I've no idea whats under the bonnet but at 2.2k it probably isn't too radical) and It looks like it would be quite easy to return to standard.
