I asked the spares chappie at VW recently if a repair panel for the MK2 front jacking area can still be obtained. Sadly not, it seems.

But looking at ETKA here, I notice item 12. This looks like it *could* be the panel that connects between the floor pan and front chassis arm, forming the box section / cavity under which the jacking 'dimple' is located.

    Could I be right...?

Alright - I got off my arse and had a look. Part 12 is definitely the bit that contains the jacking point on the passenger side and it looks like this could be relatively easily replaced. Only problem is that VW can't tell me whether or not it's still available until Monday. Damn!

    Hey, that's brilliant - thanks mate! [:D]

I've not heard of ETOS before. Is this the system that the dealership uses?
