At last, here it is. Back on the road again with a new supercharger fitted.

Spec: Edition One specification with aubergine paintwork, Mauritius blue electric Recaro interior, air conditioning, Chromalux glass. G60 with Syncro running gear - essentially a Rallye but with a pretty normal looking 3-door shell.

It was imported from Germany in around 2001.

    Plans are:

A fair bit of body work. Thankfully the underside of the car is so clean you could almost eat your dinner off it, but I would like to tidy up some of the paint, fit a new front wing and have the filler flap / inner arch area repaired. All of the plastics are looking tired, so I have new G60 arches and things to go on. Sort the rear wiper out. Get rid of the single wiper at the front and make it look standard. And wider outer rims for the RMs. Eventually a nut and bolt restoration would be nice.

That is a fantastic piece of kit.

Aren't you supposed to run 4 matching tyres on 4x4 cars?

Do you reckon you'd give an R32 a run for its money?

I've heard it said before that you're supposed to run matching tyres so I had better look into that. I think that you must have very similar tread depth, too.

It came with a twin-lamp grill which I didn't like so I put the quad-lamp one on, but I'd like to get the proper grill without the stripe. I guess GSF would probably have one.

It goes pretty well with the new charger. It's one that Pitstop rebuilt and ported for me. It's not going to be quite as rapid now because I am running it on a standard pulley. And to be honest, I'm afraid to push the bloody thing now. You know what it's like when you've had a G60 pop its cloggs on you...

well yeah i do feel where your coming from....68 is regarded as pretty safe still, and it really does the make em nip along nicley

you've had it built by a decent place now....just look after it, and dont bash it off the limiter all the time and you should be fine

i recon they'd blow anyway wahtever pulley you have

Looks excellent Trev, surely the ultimate factory Mk2 excluding the Limited! [:D]

Strange it has manual windows rather than electric with it being such a high spec car, less to go wrong I expect! Does the air-conditioning work? Got any engine bay shots? I take it since you have A/C it has the top mount intercooler like a GTD rather than the one across the front like a Rallye?

Can I have first dibs if you ever want to sell it? :p

That's really nice, Trev. It does need 2" dishes on those RM's though. :)
