argument with a vauxhaull at a junction. chassis legs are buggered so its a writeoff, but luckily pretty much everything bar the obvious is salvagable, it still drives fine too!
chassis legs are well easy to pull back straight buy it back off the insurance for 100 get it fixed at a good shop .job done! did the same thing to one of my old mk2,s pulled it straight with some chain, reverse gear and a big tree!
RJ me loverly lad.[:^(] You especially did not deserve that! I would have hoped that the mighty, 'Marakatwoo', god of all things Mk2, would have protected his favourite son. For you are surely the prophet, guru and teacher of all bits Mk2!
thanks all! i'll look at straightening it but its done a right number on the legs. trouble is its all bent sideways not inwards so i cant do the old chain + tree trichk, plus id always have the feeling in the back of my mind that it isnt right. its twisted enough that the passenger wing is scraping paint off the door so i have a feeling its not going to be that easy
That's a common thing due to the crossmember joining them together. A good shop will be able to do it easy. It just seems hard to people that don't do bodywork. It's amazing what can be done with some hydraulics and a bit of heat.
gutted for you i saw in WRC, about 20 years ago, carlos sainz crashes is celica. they used a pair of land cruisers to pull it straight again. he finished the rally just dont use a pair of 8Vs ok
yeah wouldnt want to rip the car in half trouble is by the time you've paid for all the jigging i could get a nicer shell! its not like this one is mint or anything, by a long way. photos hide a multitude of bodywork sins
got my eye on a minty looking rbm 3 door 8v, looks almost exactly like mine did when i first bought it!
