That's a good price Would probably cost that to send a box of Weetabix down the road with Royal Mail...
Thats a really fair price, even thought the stuff is quite light, id imagined it would've been sky high given the size of the parcels / packets. It's worked out a lot cheaper for me to drive and pick stuff up recently rather than use a courier.
Bit late now but I ran a group buy a few years ago with them on here, considering the language barrier it went pretty smoothly and everyone got their parts. Quality wise, bearing they're fibreglass and the price of them, they aren't bad at all.
This is the Pesch one I've got. For the price I'd definitely recommend them, but might be worth purchasing more than one thing to make a saving on the postage. (PS it's cheaper to pay is Czech Koruna than in Euros)
For a glass fibre tailgate try Smith & Deakon, I have one and for the money its very good and the delivery was super fast
Seen Smith & Deakin panels on a Capri before, looked very good On a negative note, JasonGTR who I believe is registered here and on the Mk2OC just had a bonnet arrive from Pesch and it is poor. Previous panels of theirs I've seen have been perfectly good for the money (and intended use) hence my earlier comments recommending them but this was very sloppy...
pesch - absolute pile of crap, i ordered a bonnet and the rallye rear wings (I'm having them widened) the quality is awful, the wings dont even follow the same lines as the bottom, the bonnet turns up at the corner and wasn't released from the mold properly, you get what you pay for and these parts were very cheap. Sent them an email on receiving them and they basically were not that interested. i would not buy from them again even if the parts were 20 each with free shipping
i will add i still have the bonnet and if anyone wants it they can have it, if it stays in my unit for much longer ill smash it up and chuck it out - strictly collection obviously
That's a shame mate, the quality of the Pesch stuff definitely seems to be hit or miss. My panels aren't perfect, but they are certainly are workable.
i wasn't bothered about the rallye rear wings as they were always going to be cut about to make them much wider, and the postage was the same for them as it was for them and the bonnet, the bonnet was cheap so i haven't lost much money but its not the point, i was going to get some fibreglass doors form them too, i won't be now, they are much more money and I'm never going to take the risk with them again i hear what you say about being hit and miss but when a bonnet comes out like this one how did they even think it was acceptable
They are, at the end of the day, motorsport parts, and cheap at that. They are more than workable. The blemish you show there is just the gel coat, easy fix. By no means would I call it absolute pile of crap. The actual laminating on various bits I've had have been fine with even gel coat coverage and zero warping. Ok the moulds are maybe not as crisp as some, but I can guarantee you will be paying more than double at least for improved quality. I've dealt with many, many Motorsport manufacturers, dealers etc and Pesch are at least one of the few that supply what you order/ask for in a timely fashion! And hey, being designed for racing, they're hardly going to stay in one piece for long! lol
i disagree, they are a pile of crap, why should i have to fix something thats bought brand new and made by a supposed specialist? how is that right i need to put right what they made wrong. Thats not the only issue the drivers side corner under the screen has lifted. Also the guy making my arches (worked with fibreglass for 30 years) suspects they wouldn't be made from high temp resin - which he says is needed for a bonnet for obvious reasons. If you are happy to buy a new part and spend time and money fixing it before you can use it - crack on. Id rather buy something thats made properly, ill be spending more money next time. As for the rallye rear wings - one bows on the other bows out - again total crap. Im only speaking from my personal experience - if others are happy to potentially receive rubbish and have to rework the panels let them get on with it i guess.
