Fasteddie on here = The red red Irishman. Not sure about how he is related to this discussion though but at least I may have reduced the altitude of the comment lol
Sorry I try to keep my obscure sense of humour at bay, but occasionally I slip up. Feel free to tidy up in a day or two.
No problem Finite. I did get that it was humour, but had no clue how to interpret! It does illustrate something that I hesitate to mention (because he won't want 'special treatment'), but please (everyone) consider how hard it may be for v.v.p to understand some of what we write, we really don't want to upset him. He's being very generous to this community, and I believe we should make every effort to make him feel welcome and valued.
I agree it won't translate well. It's hard to be funny without causing some sort of offence just ask Gaz lol Nuke it
Finite, you don't like me personally or you have a negative attitude to the Country about which you know nothing? Or I incorrectly understood sense of your words?
Apologies v.v.p it was all supposed to be removed for this very reason. It wasn't about you. I don't dislike you or your country. It was just a joke about other members which appears to be in bad taste now.
No worries it looks like I've made a friend anyway I am an admirer of Russian engineering including the distinctive external designs (the mother of all modern tanks) T-34, Ekranoplan KM, Soyuz rockets, Antonov An-225 Mriya and if I'm allowed to include the former Russian Empire the Sikorsky S-64 Skycrane. If I didn't know better I've always thought the Chinook could of been a Russian influenced design. I'd love to know more about the design team to see if I'm right or wrong. And I also like my Vodka straight from the freezer .
Tu-144, Su-34 and Mig-29 for me. I know the Tu-144 might have been "borrowed" but it's still some impressive engineering.
About the Russian aircraft Tanks of Russia Alas, no sites in English... "Mriya" in translation into your language means "dream". It not the Russian airplane, it's Ukrainian. Many components it is the airplane were made in Russia And word "Mriya" too the Ukrainian. The plant of these airplanes is closed. In Ukraine now war and on streets walking nazis with a swastika on flags.... real photo. Text on Ukrainian on the photo - "Glory free Ukraine" An-225 Mriya I don't love vodka, I prefer good wines. But, vodka from a deep freeze is a remarkable drink.
In Russia there are a lot of Crimean wines, also is Georgian and Abkhazian. I can list names, but they are unknown in England. Of course, it is generally red wines, semisweet.
In Russia there is a remarkable drink which "medovuha" is called. Him fortress he as beer, but his basis - honey.
Hi, everybody! Somebody can translate this text into English?
