In the spirit of expanding the audience of CGti, we're starting this project/thread here.
Clubgti has inadvertently built a knowledge base for the MK4 through the many 20vt conversion threads over the years.
Maybe it's only a matter of time before we see the Mk4 here in its entirety, rather than just bits and pieces.

We've already done the 3" downpipe for the Mk4 platform but the day after we sold the first one, he came back to us asking if we did systems to match. It seems silly not to do it, so if we can get a few initial orders we'll kick start the process.
It will be a 2.5" system, built to the same standards as the our MK1 and MK2 exhausts, that's European stainless steel, mandrel bends, TIG welds on all gas joints, two boxes and probably twin 2.75" tail pipes like the Mk2.
Now that we've got a few exhausts out there, it's becoming common knowledge that they've got a quality note and certainly are not boomy!
The price will be 395 but we'll be doing a bit of a deal for those signing up for the first batch.

So, even if you don't own a mk4 yourself, you'll probably know someone, or know someone who knows someone who is after one. Here's your chance to introduce them to the club :)

Sorry, it didn't. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough demand.
It seemed that there were more cars being broken than modded.
    You need a mk5 ;)

Golf Mk4 are dirt cheap nowadays and and its a good basis....and btw Audi A3 , Skoda Octavia , Seat Leon all share the same platform / floor, altough there might / will be some differences in the end section... sure there is a market for these exhaust systems...when they are off the shelf

Hi HPR, yes it's the same with the mk5 platform we've just catered for.

We tested the Mk4 platform market with downpipes first, but the initial batch of 5 we made were on the shelves for 2 years.
People were buying the cheap Chinese 3" one's instead, which were very crude, but also very cheap (Some people will remember Badger5 testing them)

Unfortunately the boat has sailed on the Mk4 platform. This is the first time anyone has even mentioned them to us since 2014.
If it were a case of just throwing something together from a bag of bends, that would be a different matter, but we don't work like that.

Thanks for thinking if us though, it's appreciated :-)

I agree. In the UK very few folk modify MK4s using the base 3K turbo hardware.

The MK5 GTI based cars seem to have more of a following as folk upgrade turbos to go faster S3/Ed30 kit, so it is easier for a mail order company to cater for.

Hugo is based in Belgium, where modifications on road cars are not allowed.
I am simply backing up what you said based on having to do in field mapping work here in the UK.

That's weird. Somehow, a "thumbs up" emoji turned into 4 question marks?
No need to elaborate Toyotec, was merely acknowledging your statement.
(was going to put another "thumbs up" emoji but dare not risk it)
