    Hi people I’ve been rebuilding a golf mk2 1.8t last couple years on an of an I could with a bit of advice on a few subjects if that’s at all possible one problem I’ve got is power steering advice I got a mk4 pump on mine but I see a lot of people using mk2 pump can any one tell me the reason y not using mk4 cheers

    welcome, for me it came down to the connections and a mk2 pump fittinng in place without major changes.

    Cheers for your reply well the main reason for me the mk4 pump was already on engine. mk3 golf banjo lines will fit directly to mk4 pump u need to take a bolt out the mk4 pump then your lines from mk3 will fit perfectly I Wasent to sure if the pump was to powerful for mk2 rack all sumthing
