ive got a mk2 polo gt (3f) that no one can get running right , im considering microsquirting it vs throwing more money at parts

wondered if theres any members into it that could talk things over with me

orig system has an AFM with temp sender

am i along the right lines thinking-

wedge afm open and use its inlet air temp sensor /or straight pipe and scrap yard sensor
    use current fuel pump relay
use dizzy hall sender to give a signal
    use current coolant temp sender
    use current coil and tci
    use current tps

then once wired i can get ign map based on my spec

where do i get the basic start up fueling from?

then ride around with wideband and let it self tune ?

its just a fairly basic spec car , not planning to be a race car etc

    any ideas /input please

this one is factory built so takes away a bit of risk

basicly need to copy your 8v thread but translate to polo , might need a few pointers on wiring

did you map that with the wideband then just run it off the map with no o2 input ?

Takes away the risk from joe bloggs.

    "wideband" feedback came after.

Bearing in mind I have been tuning engines, before EFI, most cars were mapped open loop as you would on a dyno, but with independant lambda measurement, feeding back to determine if you got the exhaust mixture where you desired it.

For the Digifant TCI-h it is fixed dwell.
Spark duration not sure what you mean.
Injector opening time 1.0 secs to start with
    Batt/volt correction 0.2 ms.v

spark duration is time required for the spark to complete, after this time period the coil can be charged for the next spark. you can leave it at 1ms default.

trigger angle offset is crank position before TDC where the ecu receives signal from hall sender.

If like one of my old cars, then use the settings I gave as going in points. It will fire up.

That is an offset for the trigger. Like globally moving a dizzy.
