Nice! It’s a good milestone that’s for sure.
    That sump looks really low?

I thought that when I looked under the car yesterday. Tyres probably need abit of air in, but realistically I need to wind the suspension up. Or fit a shallow sump

Mine was -35mm, and 195/50/15’s and it sat nicemy, I could drive and not worry about it. And drive fast, which is the main goal.

Hmm... I need to have a think about this. Otherwise the sump will not last very long!

MOT is booked for Monday 13th July so lots to be getting on with!

I can't seem to find a terminal for the brake light switch. Should it be in the lighting loom ?!?!

Could anyone confirm an ideal ignition live I can use at the fusebox, it's just for a boost gauge ?!?!

And I need to fuse my battery cable in the boot. I guess the easiest way is with a mega fuse holder and a 125A fuse. Anyone shed any light on this?

    Many thanks

There’s plenty of them but the radio would be easy to splice into as you’ll be putting the gauge in the hole or centre console I assume?

D plug is where all the accessory feeds are found:
    https://clubgti.com/forums/index.php?threads/fusebox-faq.219775/

for gauges if its near the radio an easy one is the glovebox light, its a red/black wire. even if this is not equipped the power is there, look for a 2 pin spade plug near the cluster this is where the wiring over to the glovebox plugs in

Sorry, I should have said I was looking for a ign pos from the fusebox I've got one of these 3D printed vent gauges...

I'll use the D plug. Thanks.

Currently have a list of fairly minor things to do before MOT on Monday. I keep forgetting to take photos, must try harder!

I had one of these, but a stupid blue gauge which was so bright at night I couldn’t see in my mirror. Ripped it out whilst driving :(

It was £24 delivered so thought I'd give it a go!!

Could you have not wired it in??? so there is no backlight. Does the gauge work with just the vacuum pipe?

My coolant light is flashing. Probably because the level sensor is not plugged in due to moving the expansion tank to the offside strut. I assume I can just extent the wires and happy days?????

Yeah, I could have done. But I was bought the holder and felt the need to use it, I flogged it in the end.

Yes you can extend the wiring.

    Some progress over the weekend.

Rolled it out into the sun...

Dash is back in. The centre console doesn't fit over the mk4 shifter too well, and the whole thing needs pushing toward the dash an inch or 2. It will do for now though

Bled the brakes and new clutch setup. Brakes seem good BUT n/s rear is not bleeding at all. That must the line is blocked as it's not leaking and I even removed the nipple completely.

And I have an issue with the clutch, I believe the guy that made my pedalbox has not welded the threaded nut in the correct place on the clutch pedal. It is not quite straight with the master cylinder so the clutch pedal goes down and I can select a gear but it stays down. (Actually my girlfriend pointed this out when she was pumping the pedals!!!) So the clutch pedal is off and I will attempt some welding soon!

Slowly running out of things to do.......
