it should always vibrate with the ignition, if its not then its probably becasue fuse 15 which has blown. this is usually due to wiring damage round the back of the engine running to the breather heater, which as I mentioned shares the ignition live feed from the ISV. disconnect the big round plug and get the wiring off the engine regardless, it'll most likely want repairing
i cant feel it, but if i listen closely i can hear it buzzing, all of fuses are working, but i found that thing hanging in last pic near fuse box. Also in first picture this is that vacuum pipe? should I take it off and give it a close inspection? second pic is this the plug you talked about that can be deleted? if it is I think i can leave it since isv is buzzing
black wire is a spare ignition live looks like, no need to worry about it anyway. vacuum pipe in your hand is the one for the ecu yep, check that over wiring in your hand is for the ISV, need to keep that. the breather heater is round the back of the engine near the throttle body if its there
It doesnt want to turn that big plug haha, also, till where should i strip it? Since its tucked in pretty well down there
pull the pipe off and inspect it end to end. you can block one ens with your finger and suck on the other you need to rotate the inner part with the red line in pictureanti-clockwise to release it but they can be very stiff. try to hold the other side still while you do this, its easy to shear off the locating tabs then the whgole lot will spin. once thats off puch the 3 pin plugs out of the front of the metal bracket, then undo the 2 bolts holding it on. from there its self-explanatory
Vacuum pipe is all good, before I check all the wiring, im suspecting coolant temperature sensor, what resistance should I see in different ranges? do you know that? I'll try to check tomorrow with multimeter if it is in correct range of resistance in different temperatures
theres no need to check resistances on the sensor, simply fire up vagcom and watch the coolant temperature measuring block while the car warms up. make sure the sensor reads similar to the coolant and oil temp gauges on the clocks
yep thats right, just helpfull to monitor both at the same time then you can make sure all 3 are close to the same figure. if so, abf coolant sensor is ok
Oil showed up saying 50 degrees while coolant time at the time was 72 Coolant gauged on dash showed 90 degress while coolant on vagcom was 79 and oil 58
