You’ll need the dbw pedal modified into the golf

Is that the Mk1 TT engine? Best would be from the same car but I think the Mk4 has the same pedal plugging into a blue/red connector on the engine loom.

My dbw pedal bracket came from boost fabrication, more expensive than when I got one now though, but a nice solution.

I'm not sure whether to stick with a mk5 floor mounted pedal or like '1990' said use a mk4 pedal and use the blue/ red connector

You need the right one do the age of the engine, mines a BUB engine so needs (I believe) the Mk5 or later A3 pedal.

I’m not 100% on that though.

    I've got 1.8t from an audi S3 8L, 2001 afraid it's not a v6.
Kept original ecu and loom from the car, and had the pedal from it too, same as a mk4 golf and tt as far as I know.
Actually worked out the dimensions to make a pedal bracket from photos of epytec one, then literally the same night the boost fabrication bracket got listed on Ebay at good launch price, so wasn't worth me buying the metal to make one.
Bolts on to two servo bolts and puts pedal in great position. Got the hydraulic clutch from them too, bolts straight to pedal box, neat solution with new parts, just have to sort clutch pedal switch for ecu, stops revs hanging, as well as the cruise control if fitted. They recommended using a micro switch on the pedal.

Nice, yeah i know with a 1.8t you can use virtually any mk4 platform pedal. The bracket sounds a good solution for your build.

Swap seems more popular in America, think fabless or sp do mk5 bracket, may be worth referencing

Edit, its mk 4 and mk7 they do bracket for on fabless, mk5 suppose to mount where pedal stop is on a mk2.

Have you seen this done? I got a Mk5/A3 floor mounted pedal but have never seen one mounted.

I made a BDB loom for a customer, since his floor mount pedal loom was cut I put a MK4 blue plug on either side and pinned it up same as mk4 so he could try both pedals. He fitted a mk4 pedal and told me it works fine :) I've also heard of someone using floor mount on a MK4, not sure how true that is but is what made me try fitting the mk4 dbw pedal loom plug on this loom

Thank you for replying, I was lead to believe a BDB was based on a mk5 platform. But if I can use a mk4 pedal happy days! So much easier too!

    Longlive the King @rubjonny!
