Definitely not show car, a very clean, useable sleeper.

    An Odyssey PC680.

Got loads of parts to clean up, but it’s just so boring.

Got fed up after I couldn’t find the proper tool to undo the last banjo.

Well I have decided to crack on with my speedo.

    Following John’s pictures & advice.

So stripped my donor clocks down (thanks @dodgy)

Then got rid of the bits I don’t need for now.

Now we begin, step 1: cut the mk2 metal bracket so the Corsa needle motor fits. You’ll have to excuse my cutting, I got a bit excited and went at it with the grinder, should have waited until I got a small hacksaw or something.

    794DC111-2A43-402A-9886-5EB6926F9445.jpeg

    Which left us with this.

    78B8A4F4-EC72-456B-AA6D-3F376D8463F2.jpeg

then trim down the brace bar,

    4B4E6F04-E54F-4CB6-A079-8469D7975C94.jpeg

Then cut the Corsa stuff up, so we can use the mileage motor mount and board mount.

which leaves us with this to start with.

And something a little like this, before the trimming properly starts tomorrow.

Got the motor fitting a bit better, getting there.

Got the Corsa mileage motor gear off and onto the mk2 pin.

    C48C8002-ABF4-4600-BE42-FDBAE1E63062.jpeg

then assembled it, lowest mileage mk2 ;)

    getting closer..

Once that’s fitted, I need to chop this up. Leaving the oil PCB in place and get it sitting in the correct place, so that’ll be fun!

    Well I finally finished it.

The arms were on bloody tight and I didn’t have a spanner big enough. 5A2D47AE-D033-4D80-A816-F66E99EBA467.jpeg

    And now it’s pretty.

I bought a track rod removal tool years ago so I could change the set on my clio van when I widetracked it, going to be using it again on the mk2, makes it light work the job and without removing rack from car.
Nice work on the refurb, looks great.

Well I’m hoping it’ll be the last weekend I work on it before it goes onto the rotisserie for tidy up and underseal.

So first up, front shafts. I have a slight issue, I need another TT short shaft for the shaft to get the length and I forgot to order pipe. Going well so far, right?

But managed to get one to length. And this was all I had to show for it.

    7C36EBB9-9A1A-4DCF-A934-FB9340E33FDA.jpeg

I then moved onto moving my prop bracket, again! As it’s too low, I can’t ever get 3” of exhaust past without it touching the floor.

So, let’s just turn the bracket upside down, and modify it a little.

    9E2EBECC-92E4-450D-AE5A-A387100B824F.jpeg

    Loads more room.

    Then modifications to the prop,

    71A25A29-BCBE-4F73-AC69-FCB293984E31.jpeg

Well, I tried anyways. I managed to weld the nuts on the same side they were originally on! well done Sam.

Anyways, managed to get them welded on the correct side and popped it back in to start making brackets up, again!!

Well my plans all went to **** when I realised I didn’t have half the bits I thought I did. So here we are.

I trial fitted a trackslag 3” back box, that won’t fit.

Sooo.. I got a 3D printer and dad had an issue of this part, being butchered by the previous owner.

    22727BAD-953D-487E-9DBD-2550728B4D59.jpeg

So I designed one up on CAD for him, and printed it. Few teething issues, but nothing I can’t sort.

I hate the place but I found I was struggling to get parts for my car so I made an account just for marketplace.
